The MG996R is a metal gear Tower Pro servo motor that has a high torque with high accuracy. Like other RC servos the motor rotates from 0 to 360 degree based on the duty cycle of the PWM wave supplied to its signal pin.
They work great with our Raspberry Pi . They’re also great for the Arduino motor shields – or simply by wiring up an Arduino with the Servo library. You can use any servo code, hardware or library to control these servos, so it’s great for beginners who want to make stuff move without building a motor controller with feedback & gear box, especially since it will fit in small places.
