Creality 3D Printer Endstop Limit Switch Module Mechanical Endstop
Description:
This module is a small mechanical limit switch (also called an “endstop”) used on Creality 3D printers (e.g., the Ender‑3, Ender-3 V2, the CR‑10 series etc). It is mounted at one end of each motion axis (X, Y or Z) and used to detect when the carriage or bed has reached the “home” or limit position. When triggered, it tells the printer’s controller board to stop motion along that axis and set the origin/home position.
Because it is a relatively inexpensive and frequently used part, many users keep a spare on hand. Over time the switch may wear out, become damaged, or stop triggering correctly (leading to homing failures).
Features of Endstop Switch:
Some of the common and important features of the Creality-style endstop module:
Mechanical microswitch contact (physical lever or plunger) rather than optical (so simple, reliable).
Standard 3-pin connector: typically VCC (or +), GND (ground) and SIGNAL. This makes it “plug-and-play” into many Creality boards.
Compact size, designed to fit in the existing mounting brackets of Creality printers without major modification.
Triggering behavior: when the switch is pressed (or lever actuated) the signal pulls low (or changes state) so that the firmware knows the endstop has been hit.
Mounting holes/spacing built for the Creality chassis/motion system (for example hole spacing ~15 mm for screws) in many cases.
Compatible with many Creality models (Ender, CR series) as a direct spare part.
